Massachusetts State Goodwill Ambassador

Massachusetts State Goodwill Ambassador

David Corley Jr., Age 12
Plymouth, MA

Home and Family

David lives with his mom, grandparents and younger sister Chloe.

David is affected by Charcot Marie Tooth (CMT), a genetic neurological disorder that causes damage to his peripheral nerves – tracts of nerve cell fibers that connect his brain and spinal cord to muscles and sensory organs.

David enjoys Math and Science.

David is an 80’s throwback; his hobbies include mastering the Rubik’s Cube and Laser Tag, which he plays with his class on Friday nights. He is just getting into football, enjoys watching games with his papa, and cites Tom Brady as his favorite.

MDA Activities

David is a summer camper; it is the best week of the summer to him! He loves representing MDA at fire houses, “Shambassador” visits, leading his Muscle Walk team, Boot Camp and the Boston Muscle Team! His favorite MDA Ambassador memory was meeting another MDA family that showed David his artwork and gave him an original drawing. David is excited to be the MA State Goodwill Ambassador as he is looking forward to helping out with MDA events! He is definitely not camera shy and noted that he is most looking forward to taking pictures with everyone he meets at MDA events!
