Building Stronger Futures Together to Help Families Live Unlimited

As MDA’s top Shamrocks retailer and a huge supporter of MDA Summer Camp, Lowe’s has helped families live unlimited. Since 2001, they have raised more than $57 million through MDA’s Shamrocks program to help improve lives in hometowns across America and build stronger futures for kids and adults with muscular dystrophy, ALS and related life-threatening diseases.

“At Lowe’s, making a difference in people’s lives is important to us,” said James Frison, Lowe’s Community Relations Director.“We are proud to be a part of something bigger than ourselves by partnering with MDA, which is made possible through the support of our employees and customers to help families in communities across the country.”

“I love our friends at Lowe’s for being such awesome supporters of MDA,” says Reagan Imhoff, MDA’s former National Goodwill Ambassador, age 11. “They don’t just help by selling Shamrocks and spreading awareness by making super cool designs with them at their stores, they also come to Summer Camp – the best week of the year – and help us create the most amazing costumes and floats. I have visited Lowe’s stores all over the country, and every single time I roll in I’m greeted with great big smiles lots of hope and love. Thanks Lowe’s!”

Lowe's camp 2Funds raised through MDA Shamrocks sales help MDA find research breakthroughs across neuromuscular diseases; provide care for kids and adults from day one; and empower its families with services and support. Donations also help give thousands of children the opportunity to experience the best week of the year where anything is possible at MDA Summer Camp at no cost to their families.

Hundreds of Lowe’s employees also go above and beyond by supporting MDA outside of their retail locations through their involvement and volunteerism at MDA Summer Camps across the country, including sharing the ever-popular Lowe’s Build and Grow kits with campers and helping to build necessary ramps and tools for camps. Lowe’s employees also dedicate their time and talents to serving as counselors and volunteers, helping to provide kids with a life-changing experience for one very special week each year.
