Carla Sutter of SYNERGY HomeCare will present the webinars.

To help kick off National Family Caregivers Month in November, we invite you to join us Thursday, Nov. 9 for a one-hour webinar that will explore the many ways being a caregiver to a loved one with neuromuscular disease or other physical disabilities can shape relationships, roles and responsibilities.

We are excited to offer two sessions of “Finding Hope, Changing Roles and Caregiver Responsibilities.” The first will be held at 2 p.m. Central time (12 p.m. PST; 1 p.m. MST; 3 p.m. EST) and the second will be held at 6 p.m. Central time (4 p.m. PST; 5 p.m. MST; 7 p.m. EST).

The webinar is brought to you in partnership with SYNERGY HomeCare, an agency committed to providing the highest quality non-medical home care services. Carla Sutter, SYNERGY HomeCare’s director of operations, will lead the presentation, which will focus on the following topics:

  • Controlling the uncontrollable
  • Roles of caregiver-partner and significant other
  • Continuum of wellness
  • Hope in the face of loss
  • Maintaining caregiver balance

Sutter has a master’s degree in social work and is a certified advanced social work case manager. She has dedicated her 25-year career to helping clients and families care for themselves and others whose needs are changing because of age or illness. She is the author of “Where Do We Begin: A Guide to Elder Caregiving,” geared to families beginning to navigate the continuum of long-term care services.
