Meet the Shamrockstars 2016: Lindsay

This year, MDA Shamrocks feature six kids from across the country, and we’ll be introducing them here on Strongly. And now… meet Shamrockstar Lindsay.

 

 

 

Lindsay Cochran

Age: 8

Hometown: Gardner, KS

Diagnosis: SMA Type 2

Home & family life: Lindsay lives with her mom and dad, Tracy and Walt, and brother, Trenton.

Favorite school subject: Some of Lindsay’s favorite classes in fifth grade are reading, math, recess and gym.

Interests & Activities: An outgoing young lady who loves making others smile, Lindsay describes herself as “very much a girly girl.” She enjoys spending time with her friends and loves sleepovers, animals and movies. In her free time, she likes to craft and ride horses.

MDA Camp and Care Centers: Lindsay has been very involved with her local MDA office for many years. She attended her first MDA Summer Camp in June 2010 where she quickly made lifelong friends; her favorite camp activities are swimming and arts and crafts. She has also been a team captain for the MDA Muscle Walk, and her family is very committed to helping MDA make a difference not only in their family but for all our other families who are living with a muscle disease.
