At MDA, we believe in the power of research and the importance of building relationships among families, clinicians, and the scientists making discoveries to advance treatments and therapies. We invite individuals living with Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD), as well as their caregivers and loved ones, to attend the MDA Engage DMD Symposium taking place Nov. 9 in Sacramento, Calif., at the Hilton Sacramento Arden West.
We are honored to have Erik Henricson, PhD, MPH, as the event chair. Eric is the associate director for Clinical Research at the Department of PM&R Neuromuscular Research Center at the University of California, Davis.
Topics covered during this day-long symposium include a focus on best practices in clinical care, research and clinical trials, genetic testing, and pediatric-to-adult transitions. A drug development roundtable will be part of the program as well. A social gathering for attendees will begin at the conclusion of the symposium and will include refreshments and hors d’oeuvres.
