Kasey Bennett loves football. In fact, it was during one of his games that his parents noticed there was something different about their young quarterback. “He couldn’t keep up with the other kids,” says his father. Soon after, Kasey was diagnosed with DMD. The disease has taken him out of the game but it hasn’t taken the game out of him. Turning a can’t into a can in true live unlimited style, Kasey hopes to grow up to become a college football coach and spends his time strategizing plays to bring his teams to victory. Kasey and his family call MDA Care Centers a “one-stop shop” for all of his needs because he can see all of his doctors on the same day – a benefit for any busy working family. He also loves MDA summer camp, and his mother has found friendship and solace in an MDA moms support group.
