We invite you to attend an upcoming virtual MDA Engage Becker Muscular Dystrophy Symposium where we will share information from experts in the field about Becker muscular dystrophy (BMD). The online event will take place Oct. 26 from noon-4 p.m. ET. Event chair Dr. Paula Clemens from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and other BMD experts will gather to discuss topics including genetics, clinical trial readiness, biomarkers and response to therapy, and cardiac care in BMD. A few family perspectives on mental health will be part of a panel discussion as well.
“The virtual BMD Symposium is a great opportunity for patients, families, and healthcare professionals to learn how clinical care and research studies can have a significant impact on care of those with BMD,” Dr. Clemens says. Online participants can ask questions after each topic is presented through an online chat feature.
