Hometown: Brandon, SD
Diagnosis: I have Becker muscular dystrophy (BMD). BMD’s onset is usually in late childhood or adolescence. Generalized weakness first affects muscles of the hips, pelvic area, thighs and shoulders. Calves are often enlarged. There can be significant heart involvement.
Favorite School Subject/Activities: I am in 3rd grade and my favorite subjects are reading and math!
Favorite People: I love playing with my siblings and spending time with my mom and dad.
Interests: I love sports, especially football. I enjoy watching and playing football, monitoring statistics and collecting cards!
My favorite things about MDA: I am excited to attend my first MDA Summer Camp in June of 2016! I am looking forward to meeting firefighters, making new friends and helping other kids with muscle disease.
